Smooth as a bowling ball...

If you don't know me and have read the earlier entries in this blog, you might imagine that I am a negative kind of person. Or probably you realise I just like moaning. Anyway, here is a more positive post...

I have had long hair for going on for 20 years... since I was a child. In less than 48 hours it is going. ALL of it. My head shall be rendered as smooth as a bowling ball, and for some reason I've agreed to do it in front of a howling mob of colleagues in my office.

Well in fact I know the reason; Children in Need. And the response has been gratifying, to say the least. A week ago once I was fully committed but hadn't mentioned it to too many people, I was facing this with some trepidation. Now that everyone else seems so excited, and has pledged buckets full of cash, I'm really looking forward to it!

I have this fond imagining that a bald head is going to suit me as well as that guy from Faithless. Or that I could get it covered in Maori tribal tattoos - maybe next year for Comic Relief?
