Another shattered dream...

In an effort to get over my Harry Potter induced depression, I was reaching for the stars last month. I made some quip about windfarms at the end of my last post, and strange as it might sound I actually ran with the idea. I ran and ran, right into a lecture at the IEE in Glasgow. There it was made apparent to me how cheap wholesale electricity is, and how a small scale windfarm will only become viable when the price of small wind turbines is about 30% of what it is now.

Ah well. It actually is viable to use a small turbine to offset retail price electricity. So now I'm looking in to that.
